Marketing Leadership: How I’m using AI to transform team management
After 15 years of experience in marketing management, I’ve discovered how AI can become our best ally for more impactful leadership. Here are my most powerful prompts.
As a marketing director and then a freelance consultant, I’ve seen the evolution of our profession from the inside. From endless meetings to team conflicts and the challenges of delegation — I’ve experienced it all. These experiences have enabled me to identify the recurring sticking points in marketing team management.
Today, I’m sharing three AI prompts I’ve developed and tested in the field. These prompts are not theoretical — they are the fruit of years of managerial experience and are designed to give you the most inspiring outputs possible.
1. Transforming brainstorming: from cacophony to symphony
How often have I attended brainstorming sessions that went off in all directions? It was this observation that prompted me to develop this first prompt:
“Analyse this team mindmap captured on [Tool]. This mindmap is the result of brainstorming on [brainstorming topic].
For each main branch, an innovative synthesis that combines related sub-elements is proposed, synergies between branches are identified, and concrete development is suggested.
Format:
🌟 [Branch]
↳ Synthesis
↳ Synergies
↳ Next step“
In terms of tools, I sometimes use Miro and sometimes the Zoom whiteboard for hybrid sessions.
This prompt transforms creative chaos into a structured action plan, while preserving the richness of everyone’s contributions.
2. The Art of Feedback: A Tried and Tested Approach
Feedback is the most delicate aspect of leadership. After hundreds of managerial interviews, I have developed this prompt, which perfectly balances benevolence and progress:
“As a management communication coach, help me to formulate constructive feedback on [situation/deliverable/role] that :
highlights strengths
identifies areas for improvement
suggests concrete actions
Desired format :
Demonstrated strengths
Opportunities for growth
Suggested action plan
Reflection questions to encourage self-improvement
Important: favor a collaborative and benevolent approach that validates a good understanding of the initial brief, recognizes strengths, proposes joint solutions, and invites dialogue.”
This prompt can be used with juniors and seniors alike, and the result is always the same: more productive conversations and clear action plans.
3. The Reinvented Delegation
Delegation is an art that has taken me years to master. This prompt is the fruit of many successes — and failures — in the field of delegation:
“As a leadership consultant, analyse my delegation situation: [context].
Evaluates the following aspects:
Suitability of task/skills
Development opportunities
Resources required
Checkpoints
Format :
SWOT analysis of the delegation
Recommendations
Follow-up plan”
A New Era of Marketing Leadership
My deep conviction, forged by years of practice, is that in the future, the most successful marketing teams will not be those who work long hours — but those who have discovered the secret of collaboration enhanced by artificial intelligence.
These prompts are not simply instructions for AI. They are strategic tools that I have developed and refined over the course of my career to unlock the full potential of marketing teams.
